Update: This maintenance has now been completed.

Next Wednesday 03/02/15 we will be upgrading a switch cluster in our AMS datacentre to provide an increase in capacity. All public facing machines supplied by this switch are dual ported, so no services should be affected, apart possibly from outages of a few seconds as ARP caches time out.

The window for this work is 08:00 to 13:00 UK time; the actual period of affected resilience is expected to be 15 minutes.

Update: This maintenance has now been completed.

We are currently patching all our servers to guard against the GHOST vulnerability published yesterday evening. Most machines will be rebooted at this time, so various services may be unavailable for a period of a few minutes. Apologies for the inconvenience and the short notice.

Update: This maintenance has now been completed.

We will be conducting emergency maintenance on two servers this evening from 18:00 to improve the resilience in our network following the failure of a switch at the weekend.

The first server will be ‘knockando’ which is an email server. No emails will be lost, however collection of email will be unavailable during the maintenance.

We will then conduct maintenance on ‘aviator’ which hosts various internal systems.

We apologise for any inconvenience tonight’s maintenance may cause.
